Math: Measurement: baking (measure the ingredients), notice mL and L measurements on objects around the house, ask questions about elapsed time in daily activities, practice accurately and correctly measuring objects. SuperUnit: Systems around the home...how can they be improved to be more effective and/or efficient? Look at different types of maps together. What are some daily wants and needs? Observe systems in your neighborhood...what could be improved? Notice and discuss different elements in our community. Talk to your child about the systems that exist in your home (water system, electricity, garbage). Ask them how these systems impact their lives and how they work. Talk to your child about how they could improve these systems. Ask your child why these are important and what would happen if they didn’t exist or didn’t work well. Please consult with your child about what they are doing for their project.
