Some say that there’s no magic recipe for finding the right university. But there is. And our High School counseling team has all of the ingredients. Our student-centric High School guidance philosophy begins in Middle School when Grade 8 students are introduced to the team. The relationship that our counselors form with our students is the secret ingredient to our students’ success. Our counseling team includes two university guidance counselors and two social-emotional counselors. A strong foundation is built over time, as our counselors truly get to know the students personally and intellectually. Counselors encourage students to develop self-advocacy and independence skills and help them identify their strengths and interests. SSIS places equal value on students’ academic achievements and emotional well-being, which sets our students up for success wherever they choose to go to university. And they want to go to plenty of places! Class of 2020 was accepted to 255 schools in 14 countries and some of the most selective universities worldwide.
